Wali Ul Islam is one of the most prominent figures in Bangladesh Capital market. He joined UniCap Securities as the Chief Executive Officer in 2014. Before joining UniCap, Mr. Islam served as the CEO of LankaBangla Securities Limited, the largest brokerage firm in Bangladesh. Mr. Islam has more than 20 years of experience in the local capital market. He brings with him profound experience from various other industries. Mr. Islam played an instrumental role in attracting International Investors into Bangladesh Capital market. Mr. Islam attended various local and international trainings and conferences during his career. His experience was further enriched by his professional involvement as Director of various reputed companies.

Pappu Saha joined UniCap Securities Limited on March 01, 2017 as a Senior Manager. Prior to joining UniCap, he served as Manager at the Prime Islami Securities. Mr. Saha started his career with Alliance Securities & Management Limited as an Executive Officer in 2007. He is a senior investment professional with over 10 years of multi- functional experience in several prominent brokerage houses. He obtained his Master’s degree in Management from the Govt. Commerce College Chittagong and MBA in Finance from Premier University Chittagong.

Mohammad Shahriar Azad Bhuiyan has over 17 years of professional experience in the Bangladesh capital market, specializing in internal control, regulatory compliance, risk governance, and corporate secretarial functions. He currently serves as Senior Assistant Vice President and Head of Internal Control & Compliance (ICC) of UniCap Securities Limited, and also holds the position of Company Secretary, where he plays a central role in ensuring strong governance, regulatory adherence, and institutional integrity.

He began his career in 2008 at Union Capital Limited (now UniCap Securities Limited) and has since worked across multiple functional areas of the capital market, gaining hands-on exposure to brokerage operations, regulatory reporting, and control systems. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in BSEC regulations, securities laws, AML/CFT frameworks, margin rules, operational risk management, and internal audit practices.

In addition to his ICC and Company Secretary responsibilities, Mr. Bhuiyan also holds key statutory and regulatory roles within the organization, including Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO), and FATCA Reporting Officer. He oversees compliance monitoring, due diligence processes, regulatory inspections, risk assessment frameworks, and board-level governance documentation, ensuring alignment with both local regulations and evolving global best practices.

Mr. Bhuiyan completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance from East West University and later earned an M.A. in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, strengthening his understanding of both firm-level compliance issues and broader macroeconomic risks affecting capital markets. He is also a graduate of the Investment Foundations® Program of the CFA Institute (USA).

He has attended numerous training programs, workshops, and regulatory sessions related to capital market compliance, AML/CFT, corporate governance, and risk management. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has contributed analytical articles to national newspapers on capital market governance and macro-level economic issues.

As a member of the Management Committee (MAN-COM), he plays a pivotal role in driving organizational growth, enhancing governance standards, and promoting operational excellence. Additionally, he contributes as a columnist for The Daily Star, analyzing contemporary macroeconomic issues and capital market trends. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Economic Association (AEA), USA; lifetime membership in the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), Japan; and serving as peer reviewer for reputed international journals, including Journal of the Knowledge Economy and European Journal of Scientific Research and Reviews (Springer & Wisdom Gale). His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s research-driven investment strategies, client advisory frameworks, and risk-informed decision-making processes.

Salma Rahman has over 10 years’ experience in Bangladesh Capital Market. She started her career as a Trade officer in Capital Market Wing of Dhaka Bank Limited during 2007. Ms. Rahman is currently the Head of Settlement of UniCap Securities Limited. She has vast knowledge on CDBL bylaws, securities laws, and regulatory rules conforming to the capital market and experience in monitoring necessary due diligence activities. She has the ability to cope with the continuous changes in the industry. Ms. Rahman completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics. She actively participates in various conferences and workshops on local capital market.

Md. Zahid Ahmmed Khan, Head of Human Resources and Administration, has been working in UniCap Securities Limited since September 2017. Previously, he worked at HR and Administration Department, in North South University, one of the leading and largest Private Universities in Bangladesh. He started his career as HR and Admin officer at Apsis Resource Ltd. He also has the work experience with USAID Project. Mr. Khan completed his Master’s Degree with major in Human Resource Management from Independent University Bangladesh. He has expertise in recruitment, Employee Relations, grievance management, Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development.

Md. Shihab Mahmud has over 10 years of experience in the finance and accounting field which includes 6 years of experience working in Unicap Securities Limited. He has practical experience working in ACNABIN Chartered Accounts as an audit associate. He had completed Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and is now in the final level of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Currently, he is working as a Head of Finance and Accounts Departments of UniCap Securities Limited.
